11. 05. 2015 Kofola sold fewer products, by 3.8%, in the first quarter, but the gross margin increased by 6.9% up to EUR 16 million, the EBITDA indicator slightly lowered by 3%. The economic result of the Kofola Group was mostly influenced by the complicated situation on the Polish market in the first quarter and also by the fact that, despite the risk of slightly lower sales’ volume, the Company has focussed on profit increases. The growing sales in Slovakia mean a very positive signal as well as the higher revenue, by 59%, from the sales of healthy fruit and vegetable juices UGO in the Czech market. 19. 12. 2014 Kofola and Pivovarna Laško achieved an important milestone in the acquisition process of Radenska. After long negotiations, both parties signed sales and purchase agreement (SPA) to purchase 75,24% of share in the company Radenska. This means that the big step was made in order to succesfully finalize the transaction process and that Kofola together with Slovene family Polič will become the new owner of the company. Two months in a row earned the most money of all the companies producing beverages and thus became nr. 1 on the Czech and Slovak retail beverage market. Economic indicators published today show that the demand is still very weak, but investments in innovation are in fact the only way of development. In the first quarter of 2014 Kofola group reported a decrease in sales by 4% compared to first quarter of 2013, namely from PLN 208.0 million to PLN 199.7 million.
